A gas valve assembly for welding machine is provided to maintain constant gas pressure within the gas hose by automatically opening/closing the orifice of the valve block corresponding to the gas hose inlet through the mechanical mechanism when the solenoid valve of the welding machine body is opened/closed. A gas valve assembly for welding machine comprises a metal valve block(200), a regulator unit, a flowmeter unit, a needle valve unit and a valve drive unit. The metal valve block comprises a valve bore(210) forming a gas flow space(211), an outlet(220) connected to one end of the gas hose, a by-pass bore(230) including a gas flow space(231), a gas inlet(232), and a gas discharge path(233), and a housing assembly(250) including a gas flow space(251) and a gas passage(252). The regulator unit comprises a gas inlet member, a coupling member connected to the gas inlet member and including a cylinder part, a regulator main body connected to the valve bore and including a gas discharge hole, a piston member including a gas discharge path for guiding the gas emitted through a gas discharge port of the gas inlet member to the gas discharge hole, a valve seat of flexible material opening and closing the gas discharge port of the gas inlet member, and a coil spring which elastically supports the piston member.
