METHOD FOR PREPARING AN OPTICALLY ACTIVE 1-[(4-CHLOROPHENYL)PHENYLMETHYL] -PIPERAZINE

A method for preparing an 1-[(4-chlorophenyl)phenylmethyl]-piperazine with optical activity is provided to economically manufacture a compound by using camphoric acid and to be suitable for mass production. An R-1-[(4-chlorophenyl)phenylmethyl]-piperazine and S-1-[(4-chlorophenyl)phenylmethyl]-piperazine with optical activity is prepared by reacting 1-[(4-chlorophenyl)phenylmethyl]-piperazine with a chiral camphor acid. The chiral camphor acid is (1R,3S)-camphor acid or (1S,3R)-camphor acid.
