A bush for the bunghole of a metal drum consists of a tapped metal annulus 3, for the reception of a screw bung, having a flange 5 provided on its underside with integral dependant studs 6 which pass through corresponding apertures 7b in the wall 7 of the drum and are enlarged or headed to secure the bush to the drum the underside of the flange 5 and/or the surface of the drum being coated with an adhesive such as an epoxy resin to form a liquid tight seal. The flange 5 may have on its underside grooves 5a, 5b to assist the flow of adhesive and a shoulder 3a will accommodate a crown closure.</p> |
