An electrostatic discharge protection circuit and a liquid crystal display device having the same are provided to form contact holes in a connection node area of transistors so that the contact holes are directly connected to source/drain electrodes of adjacent transistors. Source/drain electrodes(S1/D1,S3/D3,S5/D5) of the first, third and fifth transistors(Tr-1,Tr-3,Tr-5) and source/drain electrodes(S2/D2,S4/D4) of the second and fourth transistors(Tr-2,Tr-4) are arranged in parallel. The second connection node(Nd2) is formed on a gate electrode(G2) of the second transistor. The fourth connection node(Nd4) is formed on a gate electrode(G4) of the fourth transistor. The first, third and fifth connection nodes are formed on the gate electrode of the first transistor, the gate electrode of the third transistor, and the gate electrode of the fifth transistor. The first, second, third, fourth, and fifth connection nodes form a contact hole(50). The contact hole is electrically connected to the gate electrode. Contact units(70a,70b,70c,70d,70e) electrically connect the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth connection nodes to the source / drain electrodes or the gate electrode. The gate electrode is formed in a structure of being electrically isolated.
