A method for checking whether a crash sensor of a vehicle is mounted at proper position is provided to notice that a side collision sensor is installed at a proper position by closing or opening the front door of a driver's seat or a passenger's seat. A method for checking whether a crash sensor of a vehicle is mounted at proper position comprises a step of receiving an acceleration signal from an impact sensor(S201); a step of receiving an ON/OFF signal of a front door of a driver's seat and a passenger's seat from a control part(S202); a step of determining whether the front ON/OFF signal conforms to the signal of the driver's seat or the passenger's seat(S203); a step of creating erroneous installation information on the impact sensor depending on the determination result(S206); and a step of transmitting erroneous installation information on a collision sensor into a high scanning device(S207).
