A luggage case 1 comprises a plurality of walls connected together to define an internal space for receipt of items to be retained in said case. An elongate, frame-like support structure 19 is connected to at least one of said walls, the support structure extending adjacent to at least two edges of said at least one wall and comprising at least one elongate element 20. At least one fixation member 28,29 fixedly connects the or each elongate element to the at least one wall. The support structure is preferably mounted within the luggage case and preferably extends adjacent to three edges of the at least one wall. The support structure is preferably formed from a hollow plastics material using a pultrusion process. In use, the frame provides a luggage case that is robust and lightweight. |
