The tool has a base plate with two component bodies (4, 5) connected with one another by a connection. The bodies (4, 5) carry a lancet (6) with a tip and a test unit (8) with a test field (17) and a sample accommodating place, respectively, and arranged in a common plane. The lancet is protected by a seal (7) connected with the body (4), and separated from the field. The seal can be disconnected such that the spike is released for use.
