A telescopic tube includes an upper section tube (5) and a lower section tube (7) that are provided coaxially with each other. A plurality of connecting rods (6) is provided between the upper and lower section tubes in parallel to the axis of the tube. Via the connecting rods (6), the upper section tube (5) or the lower section tube (7) can slide telescopically in the axial direction of the tube, thereby extending or retracting the tube. The telescopic tube can be used in a Newtonian reflector telescope.
