A key switch structure is provided to suppress the increment of the height of a keyboard by arranging a light source in a membrane sheet. A key switch structure(10) includes a key-top(11), a membrane sheet(16), a plate member(17), and a light source(18). A light transmissive engraved character unit(11c) is formed in the key-top. The light transmissive membrane sheet has a contact point. The light transmissive plate member is arranged under the membrane sheet. The light source is arranged in the membrane sheet. The light source illuminates the intaglio character part of the key-top through the plate member and the membrane sheet. The light source is arranged in the membrane sheet to emit the light to the plate member. The light emitted from the light source passes through the plate member and reaches the engraved character unit. |
