A bib 2 with body portion 4, neck portion 10 and shoulder portions 6 and 8. The shoulder portions prevent the wearer's hands touching his face. The shoulder portions preferably extend beyond the wearers shoulders, they can be detachable or integral with the body portion, they may extend downwards with and/or hinge relative to the body portion. The neck portion preferably abuts the wearer's neck and may form a collar made of soft material for comfort, it may have an opening with male/female fasteners for donning and removal. Ideally the body portion extends fully across the wearer's body and a tray section is formed at the bottom. The bib can be made of hard plastic, eg polypropylene or polyethylene, or another resilient material. The bib can be used during weaning to prevent an infant touching food in his mouth; or when feeding hospital patients or people with special needs. |
