A brush material is provided to remove burr and improve grinding effect although a burr occurred on the surface of a work piece and edges is hard. A brush material(11) comprises a brush base(12a) composed of multiple resin brush hair(12); a cover ring layer(14), formed on the surface of the brush base, in which fine powdered abrasive(10) is mixed; and a resin film pipe material in which the cover ring layer is formed. The section of the resin brush hair is circle or polygon. An abrasive having a rough particle is mixed in the resin brush hair. A resin is coated on the surface of the cover ring layer or a resin film is spirally wound.
