The apparatus comprises a first container part (1A) within which material (2) for distributing over a surface as a guide coat is held in a substantially loose, finely divided particulate form; perforated means (4) through which the particulate material (2) can be sprinkled or shaken; and a second container part (1B) for receiving an applicator (7), e.g. in the form of a sponge, on which the particulate material (2) is to be sprinkled or shaken . The apparatus may be provided with the applicator (7) or as a replacement part of "re-fill" for existing apparatus. Particulate material (2) may also be provided for re-charging such apparatus. |
