A press is provided to reduce manufacturing costs and facilitate the maintenance using a general motor with a simple structure instead of a servo motor. A press comprises a main frame(110), a work table(120) on which a work piece is placed; a motor(130) whose one end is equipped with a power transmission device in order to transmit power; a screw, installed inside the main frame, whose one end is equipped with a power receiving unit in order to receive power; a but unit of a ball screw device reciprocating depending on the rotation of the screw; a pressing unit(140) interlocked with the vertical movement of the nut part; and a control unit(200) controlling the motor.
