An apparatus and method for displaying peripheral location of a vehicle is provided to allow a driver to safely move reverse by showing the rear side and the blind spot in moving reverse. An apparatus for displaying peripheral location of a vehicle comprises a camera(110-1,110-2,110-3,110-4) showing the rear side and the blind spot of a vehicle; a drive wave generating units(120-1,102-2,120-3) activating both side taillights and emergency lights of a vehicle; a control unit(130) controlling the drive of the cameras and generating the PIP control signal; a voltage supply unit(140-1,140-2) controlling the cameras, a display unit(150) displaying an image, and an image processing unit(160) displaying a PIP images on the display unit according to the control of the PIP control signal.
