A cosmetic composition is provided to improve skin trouble caused by free radical and inflammation without side effects by using artemisiae asiaticae Herba, brassica juncea Cosson, Caesalpinia Sappan, schizandrae Fructus, sophorae Flos, curcumae longae Rhizoma, Platicodi Radix, condonopsis lanceolata Trautv, Rhynchosia volubilis and Perillae Semen. A cosmetic composition is extracted from the mixture consisting of artemisiae asiaticae Herba 1-5 weight%, brassica juncea Cosson 1-5 weight%, Caesalpinia Sappan 3-7 weight%, schizandrae Fructus 3-7 weight%, sophorae Flos 5-10 weight%, curcumae longae Rhizoma 5-10 weight%, platicodi Radix 10-15 weight%, condonopsis lanceolata Trautv 5-10 weight%, Perillae Semen 3-7 weight% and Rhynchosia volubilis 3-7 weight%. The mixture is extracted in at least solvent selected from water, ethanol and 1,3 butylene glycol.
