A pair of process rings is installed on both sides of defective long-distance pipeline section. Inner end faces of paired rings are attached to pipeline surface. One more pair or several pairs of process rings are installed on defective section. Coupling rings are installed symmetrically on each pair of process rings. Couplings are installed on free parts of the nearest process rings of neighbouring pairs.
