A backlight assembly is provided to prevent a diffusing plate from drooping due to the second member having tension, and maintain a certain distance from a lamp. A lamp guide comprises a holder(733). A lamp(760) is inserted and fixed into the holder. The lamp guide comprises the first member(735) and the second member(737). The first member is formed in the shape of a circular cone so as to correspond to the force delivered from the diffusing plate(740) and so as not to cover the light emitted from the lamp to the maximum. The second member is formed in the rib structure which effectively reduces the force. The diffusing plate is installed above the lamp to uniformly disperse the light emitted from the lamp. |
