An apparatus and a method for estimating the arrival angle of signal are provided to increase the signal and the noise ration by forming a beam into the direction of the signal received through the multi-path. An arrival angle estimator of the signal using the polarization diversity in the multi-path system comprises sensor signal processors(330,350), a polarization smoothing processor(360), an arrival angle estimator(370), and a beam former(380). The sensor signal processor is the same as the number of sensors of the vector sensor arrangement antenna. The sensor signal processors perform the space smoothing. The polarization smoothing processor performs the polarization smoothing through the forward-backward polarization smoothing technique. The arrival angle estimator estimates the arrival angle which is expanded through the polarization smoothing processing.
