A culture medium and a method for producing chondrogenesis are provided to efficiently produce chondrocyte from a synovial cell by not using blood serum. A free serum culture medium for chondrogenesis and proliferation comprises TGF beta 1. The culture medium additionally includes BMP-2(bone morphogeneic protein-2). The culture medium is used in the cultivation of the synovial cell and induces the differentiation to chondrocyte. The culture medium additionally includes a component selected from the group consisting of ascorbate, proline, insulin, transferrin, selenious acid, albumin, linoleic acid, dexamethasone and their combination. |
