A liquid crystal display device is provided to improve the outdoor visibility by micro-reflecting the external light through an exposed gate line after opening a part of a black matrix area which is formed on a top substrate correspondingly to the gate line. A red(R), green(G) and blue(B) color filters(405) are located so as to correspond to pixel electrodes(R, G and B regions). A black matrix(BM)(404) is formed among the color filters. The aperture areas(A1, A2, A3, A4) of the black matrix are areas corresponding to gate lines which are not connected to a TFT(Thin Film Transistor) in pixel regions arranged in a pixel column, and are located as passing each other.
