The device i.e. cable (1), has a part i.e. core (10), housed at interior of another part i.e. elastic sheath (11). One of the parts has a linear groove (13) placed with respect to a conductive internal surface (12) of another part. The device is arranged such that an electrical conductor (14) of the groove is not in contact with the surface when any support force is not exerted on the device, or in electrical contact with the surface when the support force is exerted on the device. The conductor is constituted of a metallic layer or an electrically conductive polymer covering the groove.
