The device (1) has an electrical connection (4) connecting an electronic unit (3) to energy storage cells (2) e.g. lithium battery, for permitting the electronic unit to use information representing electrical quantities i.e. electrical potential, of the cells. The electrical connection has a bare rigid electric connection element with an end that is remote from the cells, where the element is mechanically fixed on a power bar (5). The rigid electric connection element has a portion that is extended parallel to a longitudinal axis of the cells, and is made of copper or aluminum.
