<p>A system with circuitry for suppressing arc formation in micro-electromechanical system based switch can suppress the arc formation for the switching event like the turn off and/or the turn on of the MEMS switching device. The first over current protection circuits(54,56,58) are connected in parallel with the micro electronic mechanical system switching circuit. The first over current protection circuit forms momentarily the electrical conduct channel in response to the first switching event of the micro electronic mechanical system switching circuit. The electrical conduct channel is connected in parallel with the micro electronic mechanical system switching circuit. The second over current protection circuit is connected in parallel with the micro electronic mechanical system switching circuit and the first over current protection circuit.</p> |
