PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera designed to attain a low profile. SOLUTION: A reflecting member for reflecting an object light made incident via a photographing lens toward a solid-state imaging element changes its position or its direction in an operating state wherein the reflecting member is obliquely directed to the optical axis of the photographing lens to reflect the object light made incident via the photographing lens toward the solid-state imaging element in an photographing state wherein a lens barrel is extended or in a nonuse state escaped from the operating state when the lens barrel shifts from the photographing state into a contained state being a collapsed state.
