A bearing support 1 comprising a body 2 through which a bore 3 extends and a plurality of grooves 4,5 formed in a wall 6 of the bore 3, each groove 4,5 extending from a first end 7 of the bore 3 and terminating prior to a second end 8 of the bore 3. A bearing 12 may be secured within the bearing support 1 by injecting adhesive 13 into one or more of the grooves 4,5. Also claimed is a diffuser (22 in Figure 4) which comprises the same features as does the bearing support and a compressor comprising a rotor mounted in such a diffuser. |
