A portable communication device is provided to have no need of an additional configuration element for protecting a battery, thereby increasing a battery mounting space. A slot(111) is formed from one end to the inside in the main body(101). A battery cover is formed in one end of the battery(102). The battery is inserted into the slot. And the battery is combined with the main body. A locking apparatus maintains the battery in a state when the battery is fixed to the main body.
