An apparatus and a method for simulating indirect fire weapons are provided to subject the trainee to more accurate training by displaying firing result on the display unit of the data processing device. An apparatus for simulating indirect fire weapons comprises a shooting signal input part which outputs shooting signal according to the external operation, an UWB receiver(220) mounted on the barrel of actual or model firearm, a plurality of UWB transmitters(230,231,232) which are mounted on the fixed location and provide the present location to the UWB receiver, a GPS signal receiving part(210) receiving the present location from the GPS satellite, an RF data transceiver(240) externally sending and receiving radio frequency signal, and a data processing device packeting shooting information including the kind of bullets and calculated information and operating the GPS signal receiving part to transmit the packeted data.
