An improved solution for cyanogen ion removal and a method for treating wastewater containing cyanogen by using the same are provided to remove a cyanogen complex compound and free cyanide contained in waste water. A method of treating wastewater containing cyanogen ions comprises the following steps of: inputting 5 weight% ~10 weight% of copper sulfate, 6.6 weight% ~ 13.1 weight% of sodium bisulfite(3), a compound of the copper sulfate and a mixture thereof(2) on wastewater containing the cyanogen ions and cyanogen compounds; controlling waste water by adding 98 weight% of sulfuric acid to 4.0~6.0 pH; injecting a cyanogen ion removing agent in pH-adjusted wastewater; discharging liquid phase waste water after separating the generated sludge; and controlling the wastewater to 5.8~8.3 pH.
