Dried cereal gruel is stirred into a thick paste with a diastase-containing solution, warmed honey is added and the mixture spray or vacuum dried. According to an example, 50 kg. each of dried wheat gruel and dried oat gruel are stirred into a paste with 100 litres of a 10% diastase-containing malt extract for 10 minutes at 50 DEG C. After increasing the temperature to 60 DEG C., 110 kg. honey and 8 kg. gelatine powder are stirred in until dissolved, the mass is vacuum dried at temperatures between 50 DEG and 55 DEG C., and the dried product is ground up very finely. |
