METHOD FOR CONTROLLING PAPER MEDIA IN ATM

A method for controlling paper media in an automatic teller machine is provided to prevent the paper money from being separated from an insertion groove of a stack wheel by controlling the rotation of the stack wheel at a constant speed. The paper money is inserted into an insertion groove of a stack wheel. The stack wheel is rotated for a predetermined time to increase a rotation speed. After increasing the rotation speed, the stack wheel is rotated at the constant speed for the predetermined time. After rotating at the constant speed, the stack wheel is rotated for the predetermined time to decrease the rotation speed. The rotational acceleration of the stack wheel is fixed in the process to increase or decrease the rotation speed. The process to increase or decrease the rotation speed is set to the minimum time within a start-stop region.
