An exterior quality measurement system of rice and brown rice, and a method thereof are provided to supply dozens of the rice or the brown rice consecutively and to the determine quality of each rice or brown rice. An exterior quality measurement system of rice and brown rice comprises a sample holding stage(30) in which sample is placed in the upper side, a rotating disc(50) which rotates the sample holding stage, a sample feed member which supplies the rice or the brown rice to the sample holding stage, an upper light(21) and a lower light(22) which are isolated from the sample holding stage and which lights the sample, a CCD(Charge Coupled Device) camera(20) which takes a picture of the sample on the sample holding stage, a computer(10): which determines the exterior quality, and a speed controller(60) which and the supply inside of the sample delivered from the sample feeding hopper controls the speed of rotation of the rotating disc.
