CLAY COMPOSITES WITH PROPERTIES OF WOOD

A clay composition with soil and wood-based properties is provided to secure natural patterns and insulation properties resulting from wood and show deodorization and hygroscopicity properties resulting from soil. A clay composition with wood-based properties comprises the 60~95wt% of inorganic non-sintered clay, the 1~20wt% of wooden fiber and the 4~20wt% of wooden chips. The non-sintered clay contains the 50~90 wt% of clay, the 2~30 wt% of lime, the 4~48 wt% of blast furnace slag, the 0.04~0.9wt% of alkali and water. The wooden fiber is selected among Straw, Heather, Branches, Coniferous needles, Hemp, Flax, Fine Wheat fibres and Paperfibres. Each wooden fiber is 2~3cm in length. The wooden chips indicate small pieces of timber which is cut along the grain of the timber to be used for fuel, pulp and fiberboard(10).
