<p>An electric steering lock device is provided to prevent the theft a parked vehicle by maintaining the locked state of the steering shaft securely. An electric steering lock device comprises a rotator(8) rotating in lock and unlock directions, a first and a second cam unit installed in the rotator, a lock member(11) displacing between the lock position restricting the rotation of the stirring shaft and the unlock position allowing the rotation of the steering shaft, a housing and a cover(2) forming a parts receiving chamber, and a lever member(12) sliding on the lock member. The lever member is in the standby position allowing the movement of the lock member when the lock member is in the unlock position, and is in the holding position restricting the movement to the unlock position of the lock member when the lock member is in the lock position.</p> |
