A probe pin and a manufacturing method of the probe pin are provided to improve the productivity by reducing the number of components. A processing board of the plate shape is cut in order to prepare for the extension piece. The extension piece is formed of the conductive material having the constant size. A protruding part(9) is formed by pressing the specified region of the center of the processing board. The protruding part is supported by the upper side of a lower pin holder(103) of a test socket(104). A probe pin(1) is not broken away from the protruding part to the outside. The pipe of the cylindrical shape is formed by connecting two parts of the processing board.
