<p>A hose clamp is produced from the strip material of an inset, said strip material being used in conventional hose clamps, for bridging an ear gap, and being typically produced from steel according X10CrNi18-8, having a thickness of 0.3 mm, containing carbon from 0,05 to 0,15 % by weight, silicium up to 2,00% by weight, manganese up to 2,00% by weight, phosphorus up to 0,045 % by weight, and sulphur less then 0,015 % by weight, said hose clamp is produced for defined diameters, in the form of an open strip ring (10) having overlapping strip ends (11, 12). An opening (13) is provided close to one end (11) of the strip and a hook (14) for engaging in the opening (13) is provided close to the other end (12) of the strip. A pincer-like tool (20) is used to close said hose clamp, the two jaws (21, 22) of said tool forming, in the closed state, an essentially continuous inner surface having a diameter corresponding to the outer diameter of the closed hose clamp.</p> |
