A zoom lens, an optical apparatus including the same, and a magnifying method thereof are provided to obtain high imaging and to control a focus point by moving a front lens group of a fifth lens group to an optical axis direction. A zoom lens includes a first lens group(G1), a second lens group(G2), a third lens group(G3), a fourth lens group(G4), a fifth lens group(G5), and a filter group(FL). The first lens group has a positive refractive index. The second lens group has a negative refractive index. The third lens group has the positive refractive index. The fourth lens group has the positive refractive lens. The fifth lens group has the positive refractive index. The filter group is composed of a low pass filter or an infrared cut filter. When a focal distance is changed from the wide angle state to the telephotographic state, the first lens group is moved to an image plane. The interval between the first lens group and the second lens group is changed. The interval between the second lens group and the third lens group is decreased. The interval between the third lens group and the fourth lens group is decreased. The interval between the fourth lens group and the fifth lens group is increased.
