The method involves orienting a flow of fuel, injected into a combustion chamber (1), along a direction of exhaust valves (3) in a proportion ranging between 40 and 80 percentages required for rich operation. A remaining fuel flow is distributed between an intake side of the chamber and an exhaust side outside the valves. The distribution is interrupted when a rotation angle of a crankshaft from a top engine point is 30 degrees. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a combustion chamber for a heat engine (2) a device for cooling a combustion chamber of a heat engine.
