<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a LED module having a simple configuration, capable of informing a user that an LED is turned on, under a condition where the temperature of a junction of the LED chip exceeds the tolerance level. <P>SOLUTION: A series circuit, including a determining LED chip 26 connected to a Zener diode 24 in anti-series is connected in parallel to a LED chip group G for illumination, wherein the Zener diode 24 is selected so that when the temperature of the junction of the LED chip group G is at least in the tolerance level, a sufficient current flows that has the determining LED chip 26 emit light, under a voltage applied from a constant-current power source 100 to feed terminals 20, 22; and when the temperature of the junction of the LED chip G is high, exceeding the tolerance level, the sufficient current will not flow to light the determining LED chip 26 under the voltage applied from the constant-current power source 100 to the feed terminals 20, 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
