<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of enhancing cooling efficiency in a main body without being upsized by a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus constituted so that a process unit (drum unit and developing unit) is slid along guide rails 34 and 35 formed on the inside wall of an image forming apparatus main body 1a so as to be attached to/detached from the image forming apparatus main body 1a, the guide rails 34 and 35 are formed by protrusive parts 33A, 33B and 33C protrusively provided on a guide member 33 attached to the inside wall of the image forming apparatus main body 1a, and the protrusive parts 33A and 33B are made hollow to be used as a cooling duct, inside which cooling air is made flow.
