<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiprocessor system for efficiently performing effective normality diagnosis. <P>SOLUTION: In a core 10i, data written by a core 10i-1 to a specific area of a main memory 2 are read, compared 32 with an evaluation reference value 31, and when the comparison result is not coincident, an error notification is given to a diagnosis control unit 11. Then, in a core 1, in accordance with the comparison result in the comparison 32, either the data read from the specific area in the main memory 2 or the evaluation reference value 31 is selected 33 to perform operation 34, and the operation result is compared 36 with a self core determination value 35.
