<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal panel with which a neutral display with substantially no coloring in all directions is achieved. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal panel has a first polarizer 14a and a second polarizer 14b disposed on both sides of a liquid crystal cell 13, and a first optical compensation layer 11a disposed between the liquid crystal cell 13 and the first polarizer 14a, a second optical compensation layer 11b disposed between the liquid crystal cell 13 and the second polarizer 14b, and a third optical compensation layer 12 disposed between the first optical compensation layer 11a and the second optical compensation layer 11b, and wavelength dispersion of the liquid crystal cell 13 satisfies Re<SB>40</SB>(450)>Re<SB>40</SB>(550)>Re<SB>40</SB>(650), wavelength dispersion of the first optical compensation layer 11a and wavelength dispersion of the second optical compensation layer 11b satisfy 0.7<Re<SB>40</SB>(450)/Re<SB>40</SB>(550)<1.05, and wavelength dispersion of the third optical compensation layer 12 satisfies Re<SB>40</SB>(450)>Re<SB>40</SB>(550)>Re<SB>40</SB>(650). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
