PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the incidence of stray light generated on a cylindrical lens into a polygon mirror. SOLUTION: The optical scanner 5 includes: a plurality of laser beam emitting parts 54 which are arranged in a subscanning direction Y and emit laser beam; a polygon mirror 51 which deflects and scans the plurality of laser beams emitted from the plurality of laser beam emitting parts 54 and reflected on reflection mirrors into a main scanning direction X; the cylindrical lens 57 which is arranged between the laser beam emitting parts 54 and the polygon mirror 51, and deflects the plurality of laser beams emitted from the plurality of laser beam emitting parts 54 in the subscanning direction Y and condenses the laser beams on a reflection mirror in a linear form; and a slit member 58 which is arranged between the cylindrical lens 57 and the polygon mirror 51 and has a plurality of opening parts 58A and 58B which are arranged in the subscanning direction Y and regulate the width in the subscanning direction Y, of the plurality of laser beam beams which are made incident from the cylindrical lens 57.
