PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magenta toner having excellent charging stability and environmental stability, to provide a toner kit of full-color toners using the above magenta toner, showing little difference in charging property in the toners of respective colors and giving a stable image, and to provide a method for manufacturing the toner kit. SOLUTION: The magenta toner contains at least a binder resin, a magenta pigment and a charge controlling agent, wherein the content Xcca (parts by mass) of the charge controlling agent with respect to 100 parts by mass of the binder resin and the content Ypig (parts by mass) of the magenta pigment with respect to 100 parts by mass of the binder resin satisfy 5≤(Xcca)×(Ypig)≤30 and 0.2≤(Xcca)/(Ypig)≤0.5.
