PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which is capable of preventing light diffusion by surely radiating light from a light source to the outside without leakage with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: A display device 2 comprises a glass plate 5, on the front surface of which an inclined groove 8 having an irregularly reflecting surface 9 is formed, and a light emitting diode 7 which is attached to a frame body 6 provided on an outer circumference of the glass plate 5 and emits light into the glass plate through a side surface of the glass plate 5. The glass plate 5 is brought into close contact with a reflecting sheet 4 stuck to a base 3. A cut 10 continuously extending to the irregularly reflecting surface 9 is formed in a bottom of the inclined groove 8. When light is emitted from the light emitting diode 7, the light impinges on the irregularly reflecting surface 9 directly or after being reflected by the reflecting sheet 4 and is radiated to the outside. A part of light impinging on the cut 10, out of light transmitted through the inside of the glass plate 7 impinges on the irregularly reflecting surface 9 from behind. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
