The electronic mirror has imaging devices (11, 12) for capturing situations behind and at the sides of the vehicle (1); a display device (20) for displaying a video signal outputted from the imaging devices (11, 12); a detection device (30) for detecting the entry of a person into the vehicle (1) by a weight acting on the driver's seat, a key of the owner of the vehicle, or fastening of the seat belt of the driver's seat; and a control device (40) for causing the display device (20) to start display of a video image when the detection device (30) detects the entry of the person into the vehicle.</p>
