Device for threaded movement of a carriage along a rail (9), comprising an electric motor (not shown) which transmits the rotation movement thereof to a hollow cylinder (1). The latter is internally threaded on a threaded bar (2) fixed in the interior of the rail (9). The hollow cylinder (1) is supported, by means of bearings, inside a pair of hollow parts (5) which are interconnected and can move along guides (11) fitted to the rail (9). In this way, the rotating movement of the motor, supplied by conducting bars (10) fitted in the interior of the rail (9), is converted into a travelling movement of the carriage along the rail (9), avoiding any need for supply cables from the motor which would limit the travel of the carriage.
