<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a light guide plate with accuracy by injection molding even if a light-emitting diode thicker than the light guide plate is used, in a backlight having the light-emitting diode arranged at the side face of the light guide plate. <P>SOLUTION: For the liquid crystal display equipped with a backlight irradiating light on a liquid crystal display panel, an LED is provided as a light-emitting element at the light guide plate fitted to the backlight, and an S-shaped slanted part has a thickness unchanged from the light-incident face to the light-irradiation face of the light guide plate. Since the thickness of the slanted part is unchanged, the pressure of resin flowing at injection molding is uniform, so that the light guide plate can be manufactured with accuracy. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
