<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device contributing to maintenance of image quality by suppressing the cause which makes the image quality degrade, and to provide an image forming apparatus provided with the developing device. <P>SOLUTION: A housing part for housing and stirring developer containing toner comprises a first housing chamber to which the developer is supplied from the housing part, which is adjacent to a developer-conveying part for developing an electrostatic latent image, by conveying the developer so as to be adjacent to, or in contact with a surface of an image holder for holding the electrostatic latent image on the surface, and which houses and stirs the developer; a second housing chamber which is adjacent to the first housing chamber, with a partition interposed and which houses and stirs the developer, and relatively moves the developer between the first and second housing chambers; and an input part which guides at least a part of the developer, after being conveyed by the developer conveying part, and inputs to the first housing chamber and/or second housing chamber at the partition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
