<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slab designing method and a slab designing device which can select the slab casting width accordingly to the production environment while quantitatively evaluating the effect on the production capacity, the manufacturing cost and the quality. <P>SOLUTION: When determining the slab dimension and the slab weight from the order manufacturing specification and the necessary arrangement amount, the relative slab width to the hot rolling width is determined for every order based on the function or the external table expressed by any one of the hot rolling width, the required level to the dimension, the shape, the surface property, and the internal quality, the steel component, the extraction temperature of the heating furnace, and the slab length, or the combination thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
