<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which is capable of performing focus control in a contrast detection system using focus detection pixels and focus control in a contrast detection system using pixels other than the focus detection pixels, in addition to focus control in a phase difference detection system using the focus detection pixels. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 100 has an image sensor 104 which includes a first pixel group 105 for photoelectric conversion of a subject image formed of luminous flux from an imaging optical system 101 and a second pixel group 106 including a plurality of focus detection pixels S1 and S2 for photoelectric conversion of split luminous flux out of the luminous flux from the imaging optical system. A control means 117 switches and performs first focus control by the phase difference detection system using outputs from the second pixel group, second focus control by the contrast detection system using outputs from the first pixel group, and third focus control by the contrast detection system using outputs from the second pixel group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
